Finn Harps complete loan signing of Williams

Finn Harps have confirmed the loan signing of Drogheda United's highly rated young winger Shaun Williams.

21-year old Williams will move to Finn Park on a five-month loan deal with a view to staying at the club for the remainder of the season.

Williams is equally comfortable on the left flank or in the centre of midfield.

Welcoming the signing, Harps boss Paul Hegarty said: "Shaun will be a great asset to us because he gives us an extra option. He can play on the left-hand side or in the centre of midfield."

"He's an exceptionally talented player and he'll be a good player in our team. He looks after himself very well and he has a great attitude to the game. "We would be hoping to have him for the whole season. He is initially here until the next transfer window, but it is with a view to making it a season-long deal."

Williams' switch to Finn Park will see him become the sixth new face at first-team training, as he will join up with Gary Beckett, Marc Mukendi, Gerry Gill, Stuart Malcolm and Cornelius Gallagher, along with his other new team-mates next week.
