Ireland manager to be appointed within days

It is an issue that has been uppermost in the minds of the nations soccer fans for the past 3 months and it seems there is an end in sight to the FAI process of recruiting a new international manager.

Ray Houghton Don Howe and Don Givens have been meeting potential candidates in recent weeks and after a flurry of betting activity over several high profile candidates it seems an appointment is just days away.

That is according to caretaker manager Don Givens who will take charge of the squad for the upcoming friendly against Brazil on Wednesday week by which time he reckons an announcement should be made.
