Luton agree administration deal with consortium

Luton administrator Brendan Guilfoyle has announced that a deal has been agreed with the Nick Owen-fronted consortium to buy the troubled League One club.

The troubled Hatters, who face Liverpool in an FA Cup third-round replay at Anfield tonight, are hoping to tie up a deal with group led by the former breakfast television presenter.

“We are now in a position to assess the sale of the football club, subject to approval, to the Luton Town FC consortium which includes Nick Owen,” he said.

“I’m certainly hoping this brings an end to the trouble at the club.”
