Neville to return for reserves

Manchester United have confirmed Gary Neville will make his first competitive appearance for three months when he lines up for the reserves against Everton tonight.

The England defender is edging closer to a first team recall after struggling with an ankle injury since last March.

Danny Simpson is also included in the squad at Widnes along with Ritchie Jones, Craig Cathcart and Michael Lea, who have returned to the club after being sent out on loan.
