Cacapa in frame
Newcastle defender Claudio Cacapa could return from injury for tomorrow’s Barclays Premier League trip to Fulham.
The Brazilian has been missing since limping off during the 4-1 home defeat by Portsmouth on November 3 with a hamstring problem, but came through a behind-closed-doors friendly yesterday unscathed.
England striker Michael Owen (knee) is progressing, as are Damien Duff (foot) and Abdoulaye Faye (calf), but the game will come too soon for all three, while Stephen Carr (hamstring) and Peter Ramage (knee) remain on the sidelines.
Provisional squad: Given, Harper, Beye, Enrique, Rozehnal, Taylor, Cacapa, Edgar, Butt, Milner, Geremi, Emre, N’Zogbia, Barton, Smith, Viduka, Martins, Ameobi.
