Houghton joins panel to select new Irish boss
The FAI has appointed Ray Houghton to the panel set up to select the new Republic of Ireland manager.
The former Irish international joins Don Howe and Don Givens in the search for Steve Staunton's successor.
Houghton won 45 caps with Ireland and is best remembered for his match-winning goals against England at Euro 88 and Italy at the 1994 World Cup.
Meanwhile, Kenny Dalglish is the latest name to express an interest in the Irish job.
Reports this morning say he has told friends that he fancies taking on the challenge.
