Hearts have confirmed they will appeal against the red card Michael Stewart received in yesterday’s 1-1 draw with Gretna.

The former Manchester United midfielder was ordered off 20 minutes into the Clydesdale Bank Premier League contest after swinging his arm towards Gretna full-back Danny Grainger.
