Everton's assistant manager set for Preston switch

Preston have agreed a compensation package with Everton for the release of Toffees assistant manager Alan Irvine.

The 49-year-old Scot will be unveiled as North End’s new manager at a press conference later today after signing a three-and-a-half year deal at Deepdale to replace Paul Simpson, who was sacked last week.
