FA confirm Owen compensation

Newcastle will receive compensation for Michael Owen’s latest injury woe – but the cash will not come out of Football Association coffers.

Owen has been ruled out for around four weeks with a thigh strain picked up during England’s friendly win over Austria on Friday.
