Oman gears up for last Derry City match
Derry City entertain Cobh Ramblers at the Brandywell tonight with the winners qualifying for next season's Setanta Sports Cup. Kick-off is at 7.45pm.
City earned their place in this first-of-its-kind fixture by winning the League Cup, while Cobh qualified as a result of winning the eircom League of Ireland First Division title.
Derry have a few injury concerns going into the game with Mark Farren, Gareth McGlynn and Pat Jennings all carrying knocks.
Killian Brennan is suspended for the Candystripes, while Ken Oman will play his last game for the Brandywell club as his contract runs out at the end of the season.
"I do love it at Derry…I love the fans and want to do my best for the club in the meantime but, to be honest, unless something dramatic happens, it'll be my last game for Derry City," said Oman.
Cobh will go into the game as underdogs but will bring their recent good form into the cup-final-style clash.
Ramblers boss Stephen Henderson has no injury concerns for the long trip north to the Brandywell.
However, he will have to plan without Alan Carey who is suspended for tonight's clash.
