United seek advice on Italian trip
Manchester United will seek official guidance over the situation in Italy ahead of their away Champions League match against Roma.
Italian football is in chaos after the shooting of a fan by police led to riots across the country at the weekend.
Domestic matches have been suspended as a result and United want to make sure the safety of their fans can be guaranteed for their December 12 trip to Rome.
A United spokesman told the Daily Mail: “We are aware of the situation in Italy and will take advice from the Foreign Office, UEFA and the Italian authorities.”
