Choices for Hutchings ahead of Chelsea game

Wigan manager Chris Hutchings has an almost full strength squad to choose from for their home clash against Chelsea with Mario Melchiot, Denny Landzaat, Antonio Valencia and Antoine Sibierski all having made a successful return from injury.

Wigan’s only remaining absentee is England striker Emile Heskey (fractured metatarsal), who will be assessed daily after starting jogging on Tuesday and could be in contention for next week’s trip to face Tottenham.

Striker Marcus Bent (stomach bug) is doubtful after missing training on Thursday, although midfielder Michael Brown has recovered from a thigh strain he suffered in last week’s 3-2 defeat at Birmingham.
