Koeman in talks with Valencia

Valencia have confirmed they are in talks with PSV Eindhoven boss Ronald Koeman about him becoming the Spanish club’s new coach.

The club parted with Quique Sanchez Flores on Sunday, just hours after their 3-0 defeat to Sevilla – the team’s fourth loss in their past five competitive games.

Valencia sporting director Miguel Angel Ruiz said: “We are negotiating with Koeman.

“He is close to becoming the new Valencia coach but we must be prudent. I expect everything to be concluded today.”

PSV have called a press conference for 7pm tonight, although they have so far refused to confirm the reason for it.
