McManus could make speedy return

Celtic captain Stephen McManus trained alone today and has a chance of featuring in tomorrow’s Champions League game against Benfica.

He was knocked unconscious during Saturday’s defeat to Rangers and left the Ibrox pitch on a stretcher before being taken to hospital.

If McManus misses out, Steven Pressley will not be his replacement but Bobo Balde could make his first appearance since Boxing Day, while midfielder Paul Hartley is back in contention after a hamstring problem.
