Bohemians earned revenge for their League Cup final defeat at the Brandywell ten days ago with three vital league points to move them up to fourth place in the table.

Defender Deane Pooley shot Bohs in front on nine minutes.

Derry hit back to level on 33 minutes when Kevin McHugh, who scored the winner in last week's final, shot past Brian Murphy.

But Michael McGinlay won it for Bohs on 57 minutes when Glen Crowe set him up to beat Patrick Jennings with a well-placed drive.
