Allardyce concerned over Owen's plastic venture

Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce will have everything crossed when Michael Owen runs out on the artificial pitch at the Luzhniki Stadium in Russia tomorrow.

The two men have found themselves at the centre of a major debate over the £17m striker’s fitness in recent weeks, following Owen’s return to action for his club just eight days after undergoing hernia surgery.
