The league's bottom club played out a 1-1 draw with relegation rivals Waterford United at Flancare Park last night.

Willie John Kiely opened the scoring for Waterford, with Patrick Sullivan securing a share of the points for the home side.

The result leaves Longford five points adrift of Waterford.

Elsewhere last night, Derry City and Bray Wanderers also played out a 1-1 draw at the Carlisle Grounds.

Gareth McGlynn opened the scoring for Derry, with Paul Dunphy equalising for Bray.
