Sunderland skipper Dean Whitehead will take no chances as he battles back from the knee injury he thought had ended his season.

Sunderland skipper Dean Whitehead will take no chances as he battles back from the knee injury he thought had ended his season.

The 25-year-old midfielder was left facing at least six months on the sidelines after damaging knee ligaments in training during the first week of the campaign.
