Derry have home advantage for Bohs showdown

The winners of tonight’s eircom League Cup final between Derry City and Bohemians will be rewarded with a play-off place for next season’s Setanta Sports Cup.

The winners will face the First Division champions in a play-off for entry into next season’s cross-border competition.

Derry have home advantage for tonight’s encounter but must plan without several first-team regulars.

Gary Beckett, Mark McChrystal, Alan Moore and Sammy Morrow are all missing for the Candystripes, although keeper Pat Jennings should return for tonight’s clash.

Bohs, on the other hand, are close to full strength but will have to plan without Mark Rossiter who is suspended, while Chris Turner is cup-tied, having played in an earlier round for Sligo Rovers.

Thomas Heary has been ruled out for the remainder of the season, although Neale Fenn and Harpal Singh return to bolster the Bohemians squad.

Kick-off at the Brandywell is at 8.00pm, and the game will be televised live on Setanta Sports as well as being available live on RTÉ Radio One.
