Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic is out of Serbia‘s Euro 2008 qualifying matches with Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Serbia coach Javier Clemente has called up Lens defender Milan Bisevac as a replacement for Vidic, who suffered concussion in United‘s 4-0 win over Wigan on Saturday.

National team doctor Dragoslav Djordjevic confirmed the 25-year-old will have to rest for at least five days.

“Manchester United‘s medical staff informed us by fax that Vidic‘s condition is not good enough for him to practice and play for the national team in these matches.

“His concussion will sideline him for at least five days, and in the next 10 days he won‘t be allowed to touch the ball with his head.”

Serbia play Armenia in Yerevan on Saturday, before travelling to Baku four days later.
