Johnson out of England reckoning

Everton striker Andy Johnson has been ruled out of England’s Euro 2008 qualifiers against Estonia and Russia with an ankle injury.

The 26-year-old came on at half-time in his side’s 3-2 defeat at Newcastle this afternoon and went on to score his first goal of the season.
