Denis Behan scored for the eighth time in five games as Cork moved joint second in the Premier Division table with a game in hand.

Rovers started well with Ger Rowe bringing a good save out of Michael Devine before Cork came alive to take the lead from a super move on 34 minutes - a goal that proved the winner.

Joe Gamble worked a one-two with John O'Flynn to feed Liam Kearney whose cross was headed home by the in-form Behan.
