Defensive concerns for Strachan
Celtic have a right-back crisis after manager Gordon Strachan revealed that defender Mark Wilson will be out for at least two months after undergoing an operation on his knee in America.
Stand-in Jean-Joel Perrier Doumbe, who was stretchered off during the Champions League win over AC Milan on Wednesday with an Achilles injury, will find out the extent of his injury today but it is feared he might not play again this year.
Reserve team player Paul Caddis is also out injured so Gary Caldwell is likely to deputise at right-back for the Clydesdale Bank Premier League clash with Gretna at Fir Park on Sunday.
Striker Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink is still out with a hamstring injury while Maciej Zurawski has a knock.
Provisional squad: Boruc, Kennedy, Caldwell, McManus, Naylor, McGeady, Nakamura, Hartley, Donati, Jarosik, Killen, Scott Brown, McDonald, Mark Brown, Riordan, Zurawski, Sno, O’Dea, O’Brien.
