Rangers stun Lyon
Lyon 0 Rangers 3
Rangers made it two wins out of two in Champions League Group E tonight after securing a magnificent victory over Lyon at the Stade Gerland.
Lee McCulloch gave Walter Smith’s side the lead at the interval after crashing home a header from a DaMarcus Beasley corner in the 23rd minute.
Daniel Cousin notched the second just after the break and then set up Beasley for a third on the counter-attack, as Rangers built on their opening-day 2-1 win over Stuttgart in fine style.
Lyon, who hit the woodwork three times – twice through the tireless Juninho - have lost their first two games in this season’s Champions League and already look doomed.
