Soccer teams from Eircom League to be immortalised in FIFA 08

Eircom League clubs will feature for the first time in a worldwide computer game this week.

FIFA 08 is released on Friday, with the likes of Shane Robinson, Owen Heary and Pat McCourt all included, as are domestic clubs.

FAI League of Ireland director Fran Gavin has said it's a terrific boost for the League.

Craig Auld of game manufacturer EA Sports said that FIFA08 should educate the rest of the world about the domestic game in Ireland.
