Reading v Wigan

Reading sought to end a run of three successive Barclays Premier League defeats by making two changes to the line-up that had gone down 2-1 at Sunderland last week.

Republic of Ireland striker Kevin Doyle replaced Leroy Lita up front while the experienced Michael Duberry, who had overcome a hamstring injury, replaced Andre Bikey in central defence.

Wigan also made changes following a 1-1 home draw with Fulham that had seen England striker Emile Heskey suffer a broken foot.

Marcus Bent replaced him in a line-up that saw Kevin Kilbane and Josip Skoko come in for Emmerson Boyce and David Cotterill.
