Blackburn defender Christopher Samba has been forced to pull out of his side’s UEFA Cup first round, first leg tie with Larissa in Greece due to concussion.

Samba was accidentally kicked in the head by Andriy Shevchenko in Saturday’s goalless draw at Chelsea, and although expressing a willingness to fly, was withdrawn as a precaution.
