Chelsea recalled veteran midfielder Claude Makelele for their opening Champions League Group B clash with Norwegian side Rosenborg at Stamford Bridge.

Makelele replaced Steve Sidwell, who dropped to the bench, while Florent Malouda replaced Shaun Wright-Phillips.
