Vinny Sullivan missed a double chance to greatly ease Waterford's relegation worries as they had to settle for a point at the RSC.

That point does give them a two-point cushion over Longford at the bottom, but a dominant second-half display should have brought all three for Gareth Cronin's side.

Sullivan had a fierce goal-bound shot blocked by Des Byrne before drilling wide from Paul McCarthy's cross on 62 minutes.

Dave Mulcahy then seemed set to score for Blues a minute later but for a superb tackle by Boh's Owen Heary.

The game was delayed for half an hour due to a row over changing strips after referee Anthony Buttimer deemed there was a clash.

Bohs were offered, but refused to wear, a local Junior side's strip because it was green and white hoops, and eventually agreed to wear Waterford's all-white away kit.

Bohs shaded the first half with the best chance falling to Glen Crowe on 34 minutes when he shot wide from just six yards.
