Birmingham have decided not to pursue their interest in signing striker Mohammed Kallon.

The former Inter Milan player has been training with Blues for the past 10 days after becoming a free agent when Monaco paid up his contract.

He scored in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Kidderminster but because of paperwork issues Blues have opted against signing the Sierra Leone player.

Manager Steve Bruce said: “There would have been a problem getting a work permit. Our information was that it would have been very, very difficult so Mohammed has gone elsewhere and we wish him luck.”
