Gerrard in full-contact training

England skipper John Terry is confident Steven Gerrard will play in tomorrow’s Euro 2008 qualifier with Israel at Wembley.

The Liverpool midfielder, who is suffering from a broken toe, played a full part in a training session this morning and Terry believes all the signs pointed towards Gerrard being available for the Group E clash.

Terry told Sky Sports News: “Hopefully there is no reaction and he will be OK for the game tomorrow but he certainly looked sharp and looked very lively on his toes.

"It was a full contact training session the manager wanted for Stevie and the other lads to make sure they were fully fit and they came out 100%, so it’s great news.”
