Larsson's boys held by Drogs

Eamon Zayed struck a second half equaliser to keep Drogheda's UEFA Cup hopes alive tonight.

Henrik Larsson showed he had lost none of his predatory instincts to put Helsingborgs in front with an opportunist lead goal on 33 minutes.

But Drogheda hit back and, on the evidence of the 90 minutes at Dalymount Park, remain very much in the tie.

Drogheda left-back Simon Webb lost possession down the left. Erik Wahlstedt fed Razak Omotoyossi, whose cross was brilliantly controlled by Larsson who rifled a right-foot shot to the net from 16 yards.

Half-time substitute Tony Grant's pace up front made a big difference to Drogheda and they levelled on 54 minutes. Grant was involved before Richie Baker's cross dropped for Zayed and the striker's drive the bottom corner.

Drogheda enjoyed their best spell and Brian Shelley burst forward to bring a save out of Daniel Anderssson before Robinson shot just wide after good work from Zayed, Baker and Grant.

But Omotoyossi almost won it on the night for HIF two minutes from time, but fired Fredrik Svanback's cross into the side netting.
