Alan Curbishley today distanced himself from Sheffield United’s decision to sue West Ham over the Carlos Tevez affair and instead revealed he is considering legal action of his own against ex-Hammers star Paul Konchesky.

The Blades have confirmed they are seeking “substantial compensation” from West Ham over their relegation from the Barclays Premier League last season – a figure which could reach £50m.
