Boro confirm Mido signing

Middlesbrough have completed the £6m signing of Tottenham’s Egyptian international striker Mido, on a four-year contract.

The 24-year-old has been granted a work permit and is available for Saturday’s Premier League match at Fulham.

Boro, without a point from their first two games, beat off keen interest from newly promoted duo Birmingham and Sunderland to land the player.
