Late equaliser earns point for Galway

Stephen O'Flynn scored a last-gasp equaliser at Belfield to lift Galway out of the bottom two.

Galway started well with Derek O'Brien having a goal disallowed before Derek Glynn put them in front on six minutes.

O'Brien got past Brian Shortall to cross and Glynn shot home his seventh goal of the season.

But UCD levelled on 31 minutes when Shane Fitzgerald's low cross was turned home by Derek Doyle.

Doyle then returned the compliment to set up Fitzgerald to shoot UCD in front a minute before the break.

But, with three minutes gone in stoppage time at the death, O'Flynn looped a head to the net to salvage a point.
