Schuster plays it cool on Robben-Ballack reports

Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster admits he would be a happy man if the Spanish champions were able to draft in Chelsea duo Arjen Robben and Michael Ballack.

Reports in the Spanish media have linked Real with a combined £27m bid for the pair and, although Schuster insisted following Friday night’s friendly against Lokomotiv Moscow that he was unaware of that speculation, he would welcome the two players with open arms.

“I have not had any news of possible imminent arrivals, but I would be happy with that,” Schuster said in Marca.

“I have hopes and I’m not in a hurry. We will continue working and if there is any signing they would not have any problems adapting to our team.”
