Blades bid for Carney

Sydney FC’s Australia international David Carney has been granted permission to travel to England to begin transfer talks with Sheffield United.

The A-League club’s chief executive officer George Perry has confirmed the Blades, who were relegated from the Barclays Premier League last season, have now tabled an offer for the 23-year-old midfielder.
