Derry try to put Euro disappointment behind them
Derry City will put the disappointment of Europe behind them tonight when they take on Galway United in the eircom League of Ireland Premier Division at the Brandywell this evening, kick-off 7.00pm.
Sean Hargan and Peter Hutton return to the Derry squad after recovering from injury and both are likely to start tonight’s clash.
Ola Tidman and Dave McEwan will be missing for the Candystripes, while want-away defender Darren Kelly is unlikely to figure.
Galway must plan without Chris Armstrong and new signing Yeboah Mensah, while Liam McKenna is a doubt.
David Cooke, Alan Keane, Stephen O'Flynn and John Russell are all available for boss Tony Cousins who also has new signing, John Fitzgerald, in the squad for the trip to the Brandywell.
"For me Derry are one of the top two sides in the country at the moment. Themselves and Cork are the form teams," said Cousins.
"Derry played Bohs last week and were unlucky not to have scored at least four times, so I am expecting nothing less than a tough game."
