Simao set for Atletico switch

Benfica winger Simao Sabrosa is set to join Atletico Madrid after the Portuguese club agreed to sell their captain to the Primera Liga side.

Benfica announced in a statement that they had reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of the 27-year-old Portugal international – linked with a switch to Liverpool for the last two years – to the Spanish outfit.
