Hammer blow for Faubert

West Ham have been rocked by the news that £6.1m signing Julien Faubert will be out of action for six months after rupturing his Achilles tendon.

The 23-year-old French midfielder suffered the injury during Tuesday night’s pre-season match against Sigma Olomouc and has flown to Strasbourg to undergo surgery.
