Lee makes Hunt appeal

Bolton manager Sammy Lee has called on referee Simon Przdacz to view video evidence and rescind Nicky Hunt’s red card.

Bolton manager Sammy Lee has called on referee Simon Przdacz to view video evidence and rescind Nicky Hunt’s red card.

Lee is concerned the full-back could miss the start of the Premier League season after being dismissed for a challenge on Seongnam’s Itamar in the 1-1 draw in the Peace Cup.

“I have asked the official to review his decision and he said he will talk to the tournament organisers, ” Lee told www.bwfc.co.uk.

“I hope he will change his mind. If the decision stands then we could face losing Nicky for some matches when the Premier League starts.”

Meanwhile Ricardo Gardner (hamstring) and Stelios Giannakopoulos (calf) are due to have scans on their injuries.

Club doctor Richard Freeman said: “As we are in pre-season we do not want to take any risks. We hope they will be okay to resume training soon.”
