Keane scores winner as Spurs beat Pat's

Robbie Keane scored the winner for Spurs just before the break in a 1-0 win over St Patrick’s Athletic in Dublin tonight.

Gareth Bale picked up a knock on his Tottenham debut and limped out.

The 17-year-old left-back, who signed earlier this summer from Southampton in a deal worth £10m, appeared to have hurt his thigh when he was taken off with nine minutes remaining at Richmond Park, although the injury did not look serious.

New signings Younes Kaboul and Darren Bent also featured.
