Blue the colour for Malouda

Florent Malouda will join the Chelsea squad in America when the formalities of his move from Lyon are completed – but Michael Ballack will miss the start of the pre-season tour as he recovers from ankle surgery.

Jose Mourinho’s men travel to Los Angeles on Monday, with France midfielder Malouda in London to complete a medical and discuss personal terms after a fee was agreed with Lyon.
