Ward joins Wolves
Crystal Palace defender Darren Ward has joined Championship rivals Wolves for an undisclosed fee.
The 28-year-old has put pen to paper on a three-year contract after passing a medical at Molineux.
Ward made 69 appearances for Palace after joining the club from Millwall in 2005, but found his first-team opportunities restricted last term.
He told Wolves’ official website: “I’m really hungry to move on this season and to do well.
“I think I was attracted by everything to do with Wolves. The set-up, the training ground, the ground itself where I’ve played a few times, the size of the club and (boss) Mick McCarthy, who’s done very well wherever he’s been.”
