Baines set to miss decider

Left-back Leighton Baines is a major doubt for Wigan’s make-or-break relegation-decider against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane in Sunday’s final Barclays Premiership match of the season.

Baines injured a hip in last week’s 1-0 defeat to Middlesbrough and has not trained all week so

David Unsworth, signed on a free transfer from the Blades in January, is poised to step in.

Latics captain Arjan de Zeeuw (ankle) is also a doubt having missed the Boro match.
