Georgescu grabs a point for Wanderers
Longford Town 1 Bray Wanderers 1
Andrei Georgescu punished a defenisve msitake to earn Bray a point they ultimately deserved in this dour basement battle at Flancare Park.
Trailing to David Freeman's first half opener, Bray levelled two minutes into the second half.
Alan Cawley's free kick into the Town area wasn't dealt with by Kevin Doherty and Romanian striker Georgescu's was onto the loose ball in a flash. Though Shay Kelly did well to parry his first shot, Georgescu followed up to shoot home the rebound.
In a game that struggled desperately to come to life, the first note of the night on the half hour mark thankfully brought a goal.
John Martin's low cross in from the shot was shot against a post by his younger brother Robbie and Freeman reacted quickest to beat two defenders and stab the ball home to give Longford the lead.
