Mendes makes his way back

Pedro Mendes is back in Portsmouth’s squad for the Barclays Premiership trip to Everton and is a likely substitute after missing the last eight matches following an ankle operation.

But Sol Campbell (Achilles) is out for the season, while Dejan Stefanovic (thigh), Matt Taylor (ankle) and Richard Hughes (knee) are all major doubts as manager Harry Redknapp fights an injury crisis.

Noe Pamarot is set to partner Linvoy Primus in the centre of defence and Djimi Traore should keep his place at left-back as Pompey look for only their third away Premiership win of the season to enhance their UEFA Cup bid. Striker Svetoslav Todorov is available again after a knee injury.
