Pearce safe under Shinawatra

Former Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra has no immediate plans to dismiss under-pressure Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce if his takeover of the club is successful.

Shinawatra’s accountants confirmed to the Stock Exchange today that they had made an “indicative proposal” to City, and will complete due diligence before advising their client whether to table a formal bid.
