Ireland up 20 places to 31st in latest FIFA rankings
Ireland have jumped 20 places to 31st in the latest FIFA world rankings following their two recent Euro qualifier victories.
Steve Staunton's men had been sliding down the rankings for a while due to their poor qualification campaign for the Euro 2008 Championship.
However, they have now taken a major leap back upwards following their recent 1-0 wins over Wales and Slovakia.
Elsewhere, Northern Ireland are up 14 places to 33rd after going top of their qualification group, while England are down two places to eight after a string of poor performances.
