De Zeeuw doubtful for Latics

Wigan captain Arjan de Zeeuw is a serious doubt for the Latics’ Barclays Premiership clash against Aston Villa.

Centre-back de Zeeuw missed yesterday’s 3-1 defeat to Bolton at the JJB Stadium with a back injury, and may again be forced onto the sidelines for the game at Villa Park.

Striker Emile Heskey passed a fitness test on an ankle problem to face Bolton, and he will be further assessed tomorrow.
